"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion." -The Dalai Lama
These are tough times, but we have a solid guide through: Compassion
No matter what you're currently experiencing, what stressors at home or in the world you're facing, cultivating compassion is one of the most courageous things you can do to ensure your family's well-being and the well-being of those around you.
“Heroes and heroines who disrupt oppressive power-structures by seeking out humanity in themselves and in others, they have the fullest lives." ~Vickie Curtis (writer: "The Social Dilemma" documentary) Do you want the fullest life for your child? For you? Do you want your child to have the optimal growth environment so she can reach her pure potential? If this is something you are yearning for I am here to help!
Did you know that compassion is the universal human language? In the book “Braiding Sweetgrass” Robin Wall Kimmerer says “to be heard we must speak the language of the one we want to listen.”
We are all born with a richness; a depth of feelings, yearnings, longings, needs, wants. This is the Whole Child. The child who is complete right now, there’s nothing that needs to be added to or changed about the child. And when we choose to acknowledge the deep river of emotions that run through our child we are speaking her language. By communicating with compassion we connect directly to the whole child and life is rich and full and wonderful!
So here’s to all the richness that life has to offer us, especially in our compassionate connection with one another!
With so much love,
Vanessa
